Course Overview

As you prepare for the CompTIA IT Fundamentals exam, you will gain an understanding of the core components that make up the information technology (IT) landscape. This introductory course will introduce you to computer hardware, software, mobile computing, networking, troubleshooting, and emerging technologies. As part of this course, you will learn how to configure operating systems, file and folder management, network configuration, and the OSI model’s role in networking and troubleshooting. CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification exam preparation is also included in this course. In this course, you will learn about computer hardware, operating systems, applications software, networking technologies, protocols, web browsers, identifying security risks, troubleshooting errors, and maintaining systems through presentations, demonstrations, and knowledge-based exercises. In addition, you will learn about cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing and virtualization. A voucher will be given to you at the end of class so that you can take the exam at a later time.
